The most significant change for NEET UG 2027 is the transition to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is revamping the examination process to conduct the test over 5–6 days across 1,000 centers nationwide, replacing the traditional pen-and-paper (OMR) format.
The official NEET 2027 notification and application forms are expected to be released in December 2026, with the examinations scheduled for May 2027. Students who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects are eligible to apply.

NEET 2027 Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals are eligible.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2027. There is no upper age limit.
- Qualifying Examination: Must have passed or appearing in Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
- Minimum Marks in Class 12: General/EWS: 50%, SC/ST/OBC: 40%, PwD: 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Number of Attempts: No attempt limit.

- Class 11: Physical world and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves.
